Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology

FamilyForward’s Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology focuses on developing skills in the areas of psychological evaluation and intervention. The internship program works specifically with clients and families who have experienced developmental trauma. A primary focus is completing psychological evaluations for children and adolescents, and a secondary focus is building evidence-based therapeutic skills through individual, family, and group therapy formats. Throughout the year, interns will become specialized in trauma by utilizing attachment theory, collaborative assessment models, and cultural context as frameworks for conceptualizing clients and providing intervention.
